An exhibition begins tomorrow at Somerset House documenting 20 influential years in the fashion industry for Dazed and Confused magazine. Dazed have long been among the leaders in postmodern fusion of mainsteam media with the Avant Garde.

Every fashion photographer, big and little have jumped at gracing their pages, shooting every super model of the last 20 years most fash forward portfolio additions.

The exhibition was Curated by Jefferson Hack and Emma Reeves in collaboration with Somerset House. featuring key infamous visual images, historical photoshoots, iconic covers, controversial editorial and formative works from designers, artists and notable talent in every creative field.

Used magazine issue 2

USED magazine brought out its second issue. SOME fresh, intelligent editorial. Decent typography… on trend. Large format images work for them and they’re not done too cheaply.

In the noble, if somewhat hopeless spirit of print revival, they opted to scan it for online and make it available to order. If you’ve got cash to throw around you should order a copy.

This is a cheeky bit of fluff for a collection – it’s not going to date well, but might be interesting to look back on in a year or three.

Highlights:

Feature on the revolution of digitally manipulated images – ‘You’re Breaking Up’ and

A fair few skillfully taken, if somewhat predictable (though better that than too busy or gimmicky) studio shoots.

Graffiti artists in previous lives, married P.A.M. founders Misha “Perks” Hollenbach and Shauna “Mini” Toohey’s urban aesthetic blends street culture and high fashion.

Bright colours and bold graphics brought together calmly and with precision, distinguish P.A.M. as a brand with rare energy.
